At the beginning of 2023 CURIEUX DILETTANTI[CXD] and introduced themselves to the world on March 15th at the Alter Schlachthof Pforzheim. The gigantic label release event included three dance performances, an art exhibition with photographs, sculptures, paintings, and 3D visualizations as well as a fashion show with 50 models presenting designs by 50 designers. 22 different artists, provided the musical backdrop to the 18-hour event.

Despite, or perhaps because of, this mesmerizing project, CURIEUX DILETTANTI [CXD] is rapidly evolving into a team of various creatives. Including music producers, fashion designers, 3D visual artists, and industrial designers, all committed to delivering exceptional experiences at the nexus of visual and auditory design.

SINA KOMOR

Sina has recently started studying a masters degree in sustainability science after finishing her bachelors in management and technology. Gaining some experience in hospitality and working within clubs has fostered her interest in organising events and doing something creative. She is constantly listening to music, especially techno and thus has been part of the scene for quite some time.

Becoming part of CURIEUX DILETTANTI was a happy accident as she took over some last minute organizational stuff as well as artist care for the label release in march 2023. After that everything just kind of happened and she took over more and more tasks.

Currently she plays a big role in managing the label, the artists as well as booking.

When getting in touch with CXD she is probably going to be your first contact person.

CARL Eller

label+music management

Carl, co-founder and resident of curieux dilettanti, originates from Berlin, where he first explored music through bass and mandolin.
After moving away from his hometown to pursue a career in car design, he discovered his love for techno in exile.

CXD combines his passion as a designer with his love for music and cultural events.

Carl manages and curates the music releases on the CXD Label.

DAVid senbay

Before his studies, Dave completed training as a technical product designer and has a constant interest in the technical functionality and interaction with design. Among other things, he works as a freelancer in the field of visualization (animations, product renderings) and as an industrial designer.

He enjoys working in the digital realm as it offers unlimited possibilities that are constantly becoming more important and advanced. Additionally, he possesses practical skills such as welding, turning, milling, and more. These skills are beneficial in the terrain design of events. His tasks for CXD include space design and event coordination.

Nejmeddine (Nash) Slouma

Nash, a 24-year-old industrial design enthusiast currently studying at Hochschule Pforzheim. Beyond design, I'm captivated by both digital and analog photography, capturing life's intricate moments, emotions, and the play of light and shadow. My fascination extends into the digital realm, where I employ Blender to create dynamic visuals that blur reality and fantasy, allowing me to tell stories and convey emotions. Fashion, sleek cars, and motorcycles are my other passions, and I find solace in the freedom of riding on two wheels.

I'm an integral part of the dynamic CXD team, primarily in production but always eager to contribute across realms. We redefine creativity by fostering a collaborative environment.

As I continue to learn, grow, and refine my craft, I look forward to a future where my passion and skills converge to create a meaningful impact.

I am (a) KOMMODDITY.

Being an artist in a capitalist system is to succumb to the whims of the market. To sell oneself in the interest of self preservation. Against the interest of art. A commodity is all the artist can hope to be.

Still the artist creates, unable to surrender to the cruelty of a system uninterested in culture. Constantly honing his skills with the relentless obsession only the mentally ill can wield, the artist refuses to lose the war of art.

Trained as a classical guitarist, inspired by the Rock and Hip Hop records of old, KOMMODDITY combines old school production techniques with a modern approach to electronic dance music. His sound ranges from ecstatic grooves to gritty cuts.

Behind the decks KOMMODDITY is a certified Sonnenschein. His eclectic selections keep you on your toes while his fast mixing of grooves get your hips shaking.

Expect the unexpectable. Just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the name.

Anso is the creative mastermind behind CXD’s visual language. With experience working for well known labels and management agencies she shapes the look and feel of curieux dilettanti.

Malezim is the creator of the CXD fashion shows. With her creative direction, from the label release show to the bunnies and angels show, she understands how to tell a story and create moments that you will not forget, ever.
